Our Technology

'Our Technology contains no chemicals, resins, adhesives or toxic substances. Its inherent characteristics include the ability to control problem microbes safely with a sustainable, VOC free, molecular quartz glass coating.'

Liquid Glass Technology is based on molecules of silicon dioxide (Si02) or quartz glass. Sand at the beach and the stone around us are made of Si02. Our technology is inert, meaning it comes from the earth and returns with no ill effects. This makes our technology safe to the environment. Silicon dioxide is also found in vegetables, water and beer, and is considered a safe food additive by the FDA. (FDA CFR-Title 21, Chapter 1, Subchapter B, Part 172, Subpart E, Sec. 172.480) We assemble safe Si02 molecules to form a matrix glass layer between the environment and the surface. It is undetectable and long lasting.

Liquid Glass coatings contain no lab developed particles of matter or nanoparticles. It may be stated that it is related to nanotechnology as we can develop coatings within the nanotech scale. Unless specifically requested by a client, our treatments are larger than 100 nanometers, therefore we have little involvement with the industry of nanotechnology.

Advancement in the instruments for imaging at the quantum level has allowed for the manipulation of atoms, therefore enabling nanotechnology. Most structures created are based on the assembly of “ultrafine particles” or engineered nanoparticles. Liquid Glass Coatings are developed by using different processes. They are made by isolating fully understood molecules of silicon dioxide. Once our products are applied, these molecules form a polymerized molecular layer of pure quartz glass that protects the surface from the environment.

To understand the measurement of a nanometer, a human hair is approximately 80,000 nanometers in width.

1 nanometer = 1 billionth of a meter or 10-9. Diameter of an atom = .1 – .5 nanometer (1- 5 angstrom, 100 – 500 picometers)
